Description

The Wahlberg Eagle (Wahlberg Aquila) is a medium sized bird of prey. It measures approximately 55-60cm in length and has a wingspan of 130-160cm. The body mass is 1.04 kg for males and 1.3 kg for females, on average.

 

Like all eagles, it belongs to the Accipitridae family.

 

The plumage is dark brown, it has a small head crest and its legs are yellow.

 

The Wahlberg Eagle hunts reptiles, small mammals and birds.
